	Shetland Sheepdogs A family pet, a companion, a show dog, a true working dog; these are just a few of the things that make up a Sheltie. Descendents of the hearty sheepherding dogs native to the Shetland Islands off of the Scottish coast, their American history began about 1911 when a New York breeder imported and sold them.   This site is still under construction.
